Girl Bonding at Marcia Adams', Tagaytay

My sisters and I rarely see each other because we're all busy with our everyday lives.  So, it was such a delight when they scheduled a day trip to Tagaytay for our "girl bonding" time. :-)  We all wanted to try Marcia Adams' Tuscany for lunch.

The garden restaurant (which is also the home of owners Marcia and husband Neil Adams) does not have a signage, and could only be recognized by this wooden gate.

We entered into the luscious garden and was greeted by Mr. Neil Adams himself, who showed us to our table and explained the menu.  They have a cover charge of Php700 (or more, depending on your choice of main dish), which includes a 3-course meal (appetizer, main dish, and dessert).

There is no rush in this place.  We took our time exploring the many beautiful things around while we waited for our meal to arrive.  It's such a beautiful and relaxing place, and we had the entire room to ourselves!

Beautiful!
Here's what we had for lunch.

Complimentary bread, which C liked so much!

The Lemon Lime Bitters was a refreshing drink for the hot summer day

My Course:  Amalfi Prawns - so yummy, I greatly recommend it!
Grilled Aromatic Pork - pork was just ok, but the pineapple chutney made all the difference!
and Panna Cotta with Lemon Sauce - an acquired taste, but I liked it a lot!

Sister C's Course:  Aegean Salad - a feast of flavors with mixed greens and various cheeses;
Beef Tenderloin and Bacon Kebabs - all our main dishes came in BIG servings!
and Wildberry Yoghurt Ice cream with Berry Compote - soooo delicious!!!

Sister MC's Course:  Soup of the day - very tasty!
Italian Rabbit - first time we ate rabbit... it tasted a lot like chicken meat, and this dish was very spicy!
and Banana Split - just ok, nothing special about it.

After lunch, we lingered on a little bit more.  The greenery is so inviting, it makes us want to stay a little longer.
Mr. Adams gave this one to little C.  He said it's a rare find. :-)

Side-by-side.
The blue-green one on the left is the usual color of this flower, and green one is rare.

Next time, I'll be back with my husband. ;-)

I find Our Awesome Planet's directions on how to get to Marcia Adams accurate and helpful:
