Coffee Filters

I received this interesting email from a friend and I'd like to share it with all of you! =)

Coffee filters ..who knew! And you can buy 1,000 at the Dollar store for almost nothing. 1. Cover bowls or dishes when cooking in the microwave.
Coffee filters make excellent covers.

2. Clean windows and mirrors. Coffee filters are lint-free so they'll leave windows sparkling.

3. Protect China.

Separate your good dishes by putting a coffee filter between each dish.

4. Filter broken cork from wine. If you break the cork when opening a wine bottle, filter the wine through a coffee filter.

5. Protect a cast-iron skillet. Place a coffee filter in the skillet to absorb moisture and prevent rust.

6. Apply shoe polish. Ball up a lint-free coffee filter.

7. Recycle frying oil. After frying, strain oil through a sieve lined with a coffee filter.

8. Weigh chopped foods. Place chopped ingredients in a coffee filter on a kitchen scale.

9. Hold tacos. Coffee filters make convenient wrappers for messy foods.

10. Stop the soil from leaking out of a plant pot. Line a plant pot with a coffee filter to prevent
the soil from going through the drainage holes.

11. Prevent a Popsicle from dripping. Poke one or two holes as needed in a coffee filter.

12. Do you think we used expensive strips to wax eyebrows? Use strips of coffee filters.

13. Put a few in a plate and put your fried bacon, French fries, chicken fingers, etc on them.
Soaks out all the grease.

14. Keep in the bathroom. They make great "razor nick fixers."

OH YEAH THEY ARE GREAT TO USE IN YOUR COFFEE MAKERS TOO

Hooked on Polyvore

I'm hooked on Polyvore!
I just looove it! =)
I guess my love for shopping and seeing beautiful things got me addicted to it. I'm still new in it, though, so I have so
much more tinkering to do to discover its many interesting features. For now, I'm happy to share with you my very first attempt at fashion design..hehehe.. =).

What are your plans for the weekend?

Thank God, it's Friday! =)

So, what are your plans for the weekend?

For me and my family, it'll just be a nice, relaxing weekend at home. It's been a while since we spent the weekend at our home. Last week, we spent Holy Week at the province. The weekends before that, we were either visiting a relative, or going somewhere else. Although I enjoy going to different places, it sometimes stresses me out, especially with all the packing and unpacking that comes with it. So, I welcome the thought of spending this weekend in the comforts of our home. Certainly, there is no place like home! :)

How about you, what are your plans for the weekend? I'd love to hear how you're planning to spend the weekend in your part of the world! =)

Thoughts on Holy Week

Isn't it ironic how on Palm Sunday, crowds gathered in joyful anticipation to welcome Christ to Jerusalem (even proclaiming Him as their "Messianic King"), and just five days after, they're the same persons who want Him crucified?

Are we, in modern times, part of this crowd, who chooses when we want Jesus Christ in our lives and in an instant just forget about Him?

I wonder...
